Preparing the container's new home

We are preparing the container’s new home near the campus police department’s repeater. This involved minor clearing of light brush and the marking where the container should be dropped.

To mark the 20’x8’ footprint, we wanted precise right angles at the corner. We used the 3-4-5 trick with two tape measures.

This allows us to create a pretty good looking rectangle.

We laid our treated 2x4s across the footprint to create a little space under the box when it’s dropped.

A storm is in the forecast for later this week, so all this work will likely need repair. We left stakes at the corners of the footprint (which we’ll remove before the container is flown over), so that will make any recreation of the footprint and the marking of its boundaries much easier.
